That reminds me of the observation bunkers still existing on Loma Point, near San Diego.

This is a WW2 Military Police guard post at Hoover Dam. It's hard to spot but it's there. If you ever cross Hoover Dam look uphill from the Arizona side gift shop. Unfortunately it's off limits Crying or Very sad

tour) they said one reason it is off limits is because it is infested with rattlesnakes and they got tired of having to rescue folks who got bit (usually multiple times)

I (unfortunately) agree it should be off limits. If it were open to the public it would be in ruins and covered with graffiti Crying or Very sad
