Posting Pics on the forums...

Please limit the pics to a maximum of 800X600. We have a auto resizing feature here that will do that, but if your pic is way oversize, it doesn't care what part of the pic it resizes and could resize the wrong part of your pic.

There are several different ways to Edit your pics prior to posting and if you're like me, FREE is always a good choice! If you're doing cross platform (Using Different OS'), you may want to look into the very powerful and free program called GIMP .

If you stick strictly to XP or other form of Windows, you can use GIMP, or for a simpler program, try Irfranview which is still a very powerful program that's also free.

Of course, there are still the very powerful pay for programs out there such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop, but they will get in your pocket.

Please resize all your pics prior to uploading or linking and we'll all be happier. Wink

If you store them at PhotoBucket, you can now edit them there as well (Bushy's favourite price obviously).

Oh and Bushy, it's "but if your pic is way over".
Razz

Easy way to remember: "you're" is an abbreviation of 'you are'. So if you can use it in a sentence, for example; "but if you are pic is way over" and nothing sounds strange, you're away.
"Your" indicates something belonging to the person you're addressing.

You could say:
"Skwirrell, you're cute"
or
"Your skwirrell is cute"

Both of these would be correct although the latter example has been known to attract slaps in days of YORE!
lololol

LOL Jeff, NP and it was something we had running prior to updating the site. I just thought I would mention it. If your (snickering Shades) pics won't display properly after the new script, you may want to Edit the post with resized pics so everyone can enjoy them. They're great pics... Smile

UPDATE:

We have a new feature on the forums that will automatically resize posted pictures. All pics including linked pics will be resized to 600px. However, the pics will be ClickAble to allow for full size viewing via a pop-up window. The pop-up window will display at 400px but can be resized to view a bigger pic.

Thank goodness!
I thought we'd seen the last of MadDog's belly in all its glory when you said we were scaling pic's down.
