Dug his guitar playing and of course he was great in "Smokey and the Bandit".

I especially like his participation in "W.W. and the Dixie Dance Kings" (a little known gem of a movie, Art Carney was great in it, as was Don Williams, 'nuther picker...don't miss it if it comes around on cable) and, of course, "Gator".

He'll be missed.

I drove many a mile in a White Western Star hauling drill pipe with his "Eastbound and Down" blaring out the speakers. And his relationship classic..."She got the gold mine, I got the shaft!" Laughing

Completely forgot about W.W., last time I saw that I think was as a wee piglet. Will have to rent it.
