Update, return visit #3, rev.I:

Mk IV I learned is a construct of two Mk IV's, one hull plus one donor turret from somewhere else (much like a certain Mk V in Portola Valley). Professor on duty today was not the armor guy, but we have a chance to call for maybe better access later in week because of contact information (though I got some interior shots via arm-through-crack method).

All the later WP vehicles are completely surrounded by hedges on all sides and parked nose-to-tail so under-glacis in not accessable. 3 of 4 vehicles have a welded plate with a number on it and I think I got them all with camera "zoom", though they are of the "TR" series of Romanian manufacture. The upgraded T-55 does not have the "grid" with serial on front top glacis, nor did I see the welded plate on it, so nothing to offer on that until and unless I get to work through the contact listed above. Had already pressed my luck with the armed guards on the MKIV (to whose attention I'd come) so wasn't tunneling under any hedges at this point. Maybe with better access later this week, fingers crossed.

My closest brush thus far has been with a senior captain of the SRVN and I dodged that (though I had visions of a seized passport and and a field telephone connecteced via the agency of a counter-intelligence operative to my more sensitive nether regions).

Not to worry, I like you guys, but I'm not prepared to take a bullet or animated interogation for any of you. Wink
