Dodge at Forte Mondascia (Switzerland)
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Dodge at Forte Mondascia (Switzerland)

I was at Forte Mondascia one of the many modern fortifications visible in Switzerland

Since it was a special events (10th anniversary since public opening), there were a bunch of historical vehicles. I failed to identify this Dodge, any help is appreciated, since I know close to nothing about USA softskins:

Thanks

Massimo

Massimo,
Thanks for sharing those! Photos of WW2 Dodges are always welcomed by me.

Hi Mike,
Are you able to identify the vehicle? I would like to know the exact model.

Thanks

Thanks for the help!

For the Dodge fans among you, there was also a WC-51 at the same event:

As for AFVs, the Museum's own a Panzer 68/88 in running order (plus 20+ pieces of swiss artillery):

I know nothing about Dodge vehicles, so I can't comment. The owner identify it as WC-51. As you said, it could be an hybrid or an incorrect restoration.

Thanks again

Massimo
That last one looks like a WC51 or a WC56 that had the rear body cut off after the war for use as a truck on a farm. In either case it has the incorrect rear body, probably home made and in correct wheels.
If you are intersted in learning more about WW2 Dodges check out the following websites.

Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks Mike, I am not into Dodges, I am mostly focused on WW II Axis vehicles and I don't want to spread myself too thin.
I asked since I took the opportunity to take some pictures and I would like to archive them with correct names.
