Interesting Tanks 4
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Tiger III? Shocked ?? Shocked ?? Shocked ?? Shocked ?

My first guess would be that it is some kind of fabricated/staged propaganda picture but my only other guess would be a view I've never seen of the MAUS

A couple of views of the same vehicle appear over here:

strangevehicles.greyfa...20MAUS.htm

What, exactly, "Tiger III" means in this context might be very little...perhaps just a working progression.

this picture is fake, not even an fabricated/staged propaganda picture

I even think that this picture is from an model kit, somehow the tracks doesn't "fit" into the ground surface

It is an Panzer E100, however the only real thing ever found of this vehicle was the hull, without tracks

The vehicle is also known as Panzer VIII Maus or Tiger-Maus, not to be confused with the Panzer Maus that is at the Kubinka tank proving ground museum (is that the correct description for it Confused )

I'll refine my guess and say E-100 not Maus But I didn't remember it as being anything but a paper design. I was taking Tiger III off the text in the top of the picture. I had never seen that name used before
