heatsink n fan not sure on, fanless is new to me lol , cables should be there and onboard sounds fine by me, i have both and cant say as i notice much dif.
homey what power supply you going for? some of those have cables supplied if there the plug in type too.. like this www.tagan.com/pages/pr...0_u15.html

Ok here is my wish list for new puter. Please look thru it and tell me if I missed anything or if something is not compatible with the MB I should get on 10-19-06. THNX!

Questions right off the bat :

1. Do I need the heatsink and fan? The MB says fanless?
2. Do I need the cables as the MB has some cables included?
3. Should I spend the money on the sound card or is the onboard sound good?

LOL Hitman! Ok Puter is returned and prolly will be week or so before BestBuy returns my $. That gives me week or more to reseach out parts for new puter :O). I did go to NewEgg and did a little looking around and found a 4800+ for the same money as the 4600+. I also looked at the 1000 watt power supplys too Fled. I'm still gonna get that new MB I ordered so all parts must be compatible with that one. Ok time to go looking because I don't want to be like Kitform on making my mine up....lol!

Don't forget to get yerself a CPU and Vidcard frying POWER SUPPLY UNIT of at least 1,000 watts when yer planning on that SLI stuff

Shades that 4600+ is 939 socket, the mb I ordered is AM2 socket.

Homey listen to Mick.... personaly i would walk right back into that store and demand refund, the guy gave you bad advice, thats enough to warrant a return n refund, also why the hell let him get away with it.

if that dont work try the headbutt technique lol,

build your own system from scratch, as thats what your gonna hafta do with the heap of junk HP anyhow....

I'm not in US so I don't have the same suppliers but I only looked on 1 site so there must be others if you really want it.
There's a 4800+ and a 5000+ there too... jest sayin... Wink

Oh yeh... amd don't hold the lead at the moment. Intels duals are way out in front.

Ok after 3 hours of looking I came up with all this for a total of $781.89 before taxes and shipping. The Mrs as nice as she is to me said I couldn't spend any moe $ than I already invested Sad

. Couldn't find the same 4600+ processor so had to settle for 4200+ Sad

Oh yea Shades I have a 19" Sony Xbrite LCD monitor with 800:1 contrast and 4ms reponse time. Also a Aura Vision slim series back lighted keyboard, optical mouse, 250 mb external HD and a spare 16x Lightscribe DVD writer to go with new puter. External HD used only for storage.

Hmmm....LOL that must be why that sales person is working at BestBuy now!
