Surviving M3A3 Stuarts??
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Kurt Any information on SN 10673. That is the SN if the M3A3 currently at Ft Benning, that used to be here. Regards Don

Hi P-O: SN 12862 was probably built in July 1943. The corresponding RN is 3028071. KL

It's surprising to me that while the US shipped all but ~90 of the 3,427 M3A3s overseas the majority of the survivors are here. KL

The engine deck is only one feature to distinguish the M3A3 from the M5A1. For convenience, when viewed from the frontal quadrant: M3A3: Flat engine deck, sloped upper hull sides. M5: Raised engine deck, vertical hull sides, M3A1 type turret. M5A1: Raised engine deck, vertical hull sides, same turret as the M3A3. _________________ 1/72 and 1/76 scale fanatic.
