Princess Anne M60A3 & Berlin M4A3E8 Sherman Easy Eight
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Princess Anne M60A3 - looks better in pictures than in person...









SN - looks like 917A, but TACOM says its 1917A... Besides which, Grasonville is a sister - SN 1918A, RN JJ042P.

Berlin M4A3E8 Sherman







Is that some sort of odd hole (penetration??? or just for a fitting?) on the top right of the rear hull?

Neil,

SN 1917A is correct, There are no three digit Anniston rebuilds to my knowledge, since the first one made came after over 1000 A3's were made in Detroit. Lowest confirmed Anniston I'm tracking is SN 1778A. Very nice pictures Thanks for sharing.
