Altus, OK M4
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

According to the Historical AFV Register there is suppose to be a M110A2 at VFW Post 4876 but instead I found a M4 out in front. Wasn't able to find a SN/RN as there was to much paint on it. Not sure of the model though. Here are some photos:

Nice find.

Is there still have a WB-47 Stratojet next to the pizzahut in Altus?

Regards,
Lesley

Lesley,

The B-47 is still on display there.
They also have a Atlas ICBM training missile on display in a city park. It's called the "Waterbird". Altus AFB was home to Atlas ICBM's silos. Atlas missiles had to be raised to the verticle position for fueling and this missile was filled with water to test the missile raising system.

Thanks BB61
OFF TOPIC, it still looks good, I was there in 1994. At that moment only interested in aircraft. I still regret it that I didn't took pictures of all the armor..
