Armed Forces Museum - Alton, IL
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

While in St Louis, we took a trip up to Alton to take a look at the museum.
They are in need of a new facility to house the collection as the plant that is leasing them the current building wants them out. They are looking for any assistance they can get!

I've attached photos of some of the rare soft-skin vehicles as well as shots of AFVs.

The first photo is an overview.
Next is a rare 1942 Ford.
Last is a shot of the three prototype jeep types - Willys, Ford and Bantam.

Enjoy!
