Yes and Yes.

Yes it will play using Windows 7. Make sure to install or move it from the "Program Files" folder though.

You can use Hyperlobby with Windows 7. You need to make sure to use the version of the sim the the host is using. They normally tell you what version you need to have installed.

v4.11.1 is the most current non modded version.
UP3.0RC4 is one of the current mod pack.
HSFX6.0 is another current mod pack.

Make sure to read the install instructions if you use the mod packs. There will be conflicts if you use the wrong official patch version with them.
