Hello,

I've got a T-34 serial number : 412189. Is it a T-34/76 or a T-34/85?

A december '44 built tank, factory nr. 112 in Gorky used this type of numbers. So from the building date I say T-34/85.

Were is this one located?

the owner thinks that it is a T-34/76 with T-34/85 turret, but some guys on the forum said that the hull is an early T-34/85, so you seem to confirm that it is definitely not a T-34/76. A shame that the owner wants to restore it as a late T-34/76, and wants to change the /85 turret for a /76 one.

The first digit is the year of production (44), the second and third is the month of production. I don't know if the ''76'' was still in production on that date?

We cannot make any conclusions before the good photo of the serial number will be available.
Now I can say only that I said at the WA forum several monthes ago.

I think the owner of this tank made too fast decisions.
But this is common for all beginners in the restoration.
