These are from the 4th ID museum here at Ft Hood. Not being "Cav", they don't have the array of aircraft but still nice to see. There is an A-10 here on post over by the USAF building that I hope to photograph soon. There is also a Cobra and a Kiowa over on west Hood as well as a Cobra in the town square of Killeen. You'll see them as soon as I can get to them.

That AH-1G is very interesting. It has the "toilet bowl" exhaust extension (usually combined with the Strela anti-SAM SA-7 suppresion kit (extra scoops at engine inlet) and seems to have been fitted with FLIR, probably post-war.

We should check the numbers on that bird, 'specially since it's reportedly ex-11th Cav.

Jeff,
If you would, check that nose assembly for any designations like "AN/AAQ-5". If that is one, it's the only picture I've seen of an AH-1 with that system mounted. I know they were built, but can't find any pics.
