found a 155 GPF in Nebraska...
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: found a 155 GPF in Nebraska...

Last eve I had a chance to look at a few more Nebraska town to see what might be lurking in city parks or courthouse lawns. In the little town of Milligan (pop 328) I found an old 155 GPF still on the pre-WW2 hard-tired carriage. Why is this of interest to an "AFV" forum? Well, 100 of these guns were combined with M3 tank chassis to create the 155 Gun MOtor Carriage M12.

Appears to have part of it's sight system still attached on the left side. Somewhere along the top of the barrel, should be a stamping of the guns nomenclature and manufacture, Possibly Waterveilet?
