Can you all help ID these? Any incorrect please let me know.
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I think so, although I'm sure some smart person may be able to tell us whether those are M60A1s or "slick" M60A0s...

BTW, in case you didnt get it, "Lingle" is an inside joke on this board akin to the "Gavin" name...

Those last two M-60's are slicks, or M60A0

Its just a term us tankers have assigned to this tank meaning it has not been upgrade to A1 or any othe other mods. Just your basic first production M-60.

I suspect I'm going to have to go back through all those "Tanks for the Memories" geocaching pictures to pick out the M60A0s/A1s and confirm which they are... Ugh...

What are the main ID points for the A0 vice the A1?

Yea but we admit it's an inside joke and haven't tried to make it official

The propellers have nothing to do with making the airplane fly. They just pull it forward fast enough that as it falls the earth curves away from it. There are little things called 'lifties' that hold the plane up. Rolling Eyes

1st photo is an M109A5.

>2. M113 USAR Center near Bowman Field, Cannons Ln.
M114 not an M113

>5. M48 Patton USAR Center Dutch Ln. Jeffersonville,IN
I'd say M48A1 because of the flat engine deck.

>6. M41 Walker Bulldog, Kiesler Gun Shop, 3300 Industrail Pkwy, Jeffersonville, IN
Most likely an M41A3 because of the heater exhaust muffler on the right front fender.

>7. M113 IN ANG Armory, Grantline Rd, New Albany, In
Definitely an M59 and not an M113 series vehicle.

>8. M113 IN ANG Armory, Grantline Rd, New Albany, In
Ditto above

>9. M60 VFW Post 1693 Grantline Rd, New Albany, In
M60, aka Slick 60, M60A0, M60 A-nothing

>10. M60 VFW Post 3281 232 E 5th St, New Albany, In
Another Slick 60

Hope this helps.

I think it is an M-48 ('Slick 48' ???) since it doesn't have a cupola for the commander. I've always used that to distinguish between the two.
