Post subject: nVidia G80 (8800-GTX)

It turns out that many of the recent rumours about NNvidia's upcoming G80 chip were true. This includes many things such as 1.35GHz scalable clock for 128 shader units, and a 384-bit memory controller.
Nvidia still refuses to talk about the actual number of pipelines on the chip but we have a clue that we are talking about hell of a fast card. The samples should be ready for week 43, while the actually launch takes a place in week 45, probably on the 8th of November.
