Veterans from the 1944 Allied Battle of Ardennes, known as the Battle of the Bulge, visited Fort Knox Oct. 11. They were shown around post, the Patton Museum, treated to a vehicle display by Patton Museum reenactors, and a flyover by a C130.

Later the cargo plane dropped four parachutists onto the airfield, where visitors were allowed to speak with them and see the C130 after it landed.

The weather was chilly, rainy, and very overcast, which in some ways reminded some of the vets of their days in the Ardennes.
