Post subject: CALL OF DUTY WONT LOAD

A problem with the video card per the message below - but there is no problem from what I can see (yes I removed all video drivers and reinstalled latest signed drivers).

I have an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ with 2GIG of ram and Nvidia 8800 GTS

Your video card appears to be missing one or more features required to run Call of Duty.

You should install the latest drivers for your video card, being sure to uninstall the old drivers first. If you already have the latest drivers, you should completely uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them. This fixes most problems. If the game still doesn't work, it may be that your video card does not have the minimum features required. Please check the readme for more information, including a list of supported video cards.

Slow, when did this happen? Was the game playing fine before? Usually, that kind of thing happens right after you've installed something new or the game file(s) corrupted for some reason.

Did you try installing the game again?

Might be worth looking on the nVidia driver site and going through their list of exceptions.
Sometimes they can have "KNOWN ISSUES" that affect a particular card and some games.
Having said that, if you've had it running before, that's unlikely.
Maybe a System Restore back to a time when it was runing(?).
