The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Neil,

I've been to the VFW in Oneida, They do not have any M110A2's.

VFW 5669 N 36.32.081, W 84.29.070

Instead they have two former USMC towed 105mm Howitzers.

Howitzer #1
Howitzer #2

I took these around 2007. The TACOM list entry is wrong. One of the two SN's was confirmed though.

SN 11122

How they got this so wrong is amazing.

Out of curiosity, how could you tell they were ex-USMC?

Last rebuild was done by Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Barstow in 1985 IAW the data plate. If they were Army they'd most likely go to Rock Island. So I'm pretty sure they were USMC, but I can't rule out they might have been issued to an Army unit.
