I was trying to download the US AFV register but couldn't get it to open. Is there a new URL besides the one in the "sticky" thread above?

I'm hoping to go from Nebraska to San Antonio, TX this spring and (as usual) am looking at the AFVs between here and there.

Is it hard to get onto Ft. Hood to see the museum vehicles there?

Shouldn't be more than a visitor pass.

Proof of ID/valid driver's license, tags and insurance and you should be good to go. Purpose of visit: 4ID and 1st CD museums.

That's if they still are 4 ID and 1st CD, things have been changing a lot lately Laughing

Start a thread addressed to SFC Jeff Button and PM him as well asking if it would be convenient for him to direct you to certain sites and give you a tour if he's available. Jeff is a great host and has an interest in the historical that's infectious and usually has a magic touch that can open doors. If he can help, he'll probably try. Just good people. Terrific family, too. I'll try to email him the link if you post it so he'll look in.

I think 4th ID was going back to Fort Carson. Third ACR might have their museum open at Fort Hood by now.
