AEC Mk III armoured car turret the same as the Cromwell turr
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Looking for the definitive final word on this issue if possible. Was the turret of the AEC Mk III armoured car (also fitted on Lebanese Staghounds) the same as that fitted on the Cromwell tank minus the bolted on applique armour> Some sources suggest that it was a turret that only looked similar, which seems to be a lot of work for the same purpose. I'm not asling about the original Staghound turret, but the AEC mk III turret which looks similar, if it isn't the same as fitted on the Cromwell tank, and also on a number of Lebanese Staghounds.

Did you actually look at that image?
