Panzer salvage in Bulgaria
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I think there is no inside to restore because all internal parts have been removed when the tank was placed

So repainting a empty hull can be done in a month

They're looking pretty good. Anyone know where they'll be displayed and what's happening to the less well preserved ones?
I assume that the JpIV that vanished to Germany? hasn't been recovered.

That is another JPIV, an L/48. The stolen one is an L/70.

According to this article, the stolen JP's location is still unknown.

Hello,

I updated Panzer IV, Panzer IV variants and StuG III survivors PDF file.
It seems that 2 different Panzer IVs are being cosmetically restored.

I think that all the other recovered wrecks are being used as "organ donors". It seems like the restoration team takes some doors, hinges, accessories from less preserved vehicles to put them on the vehicles that are being restored.

I think that the less well preserved tanks will not be sold before the end of the restoration of these 4 vehicles.
