Post subject: Kaspersky/UltraAV debacle
Kaspersky security software is banned in America: What you need to know

I am one of the lucky sob’s that got bit by this situation. I have been using Kaspersky products since 2009 and I only found out about the change when two of my three systems, Mom & Dad's, were upgraded without my consent Monday evening, September 26, 2024. The third system, mine, is not using Kaspersky so it should remain safe.

For some fun reading here are some threads on the joy of uninstalling the UltraAV malware…
I was completely unaware of this situation until I got that nasty little surprise yesterday morning.
