Leopard 2A6 photo's at Bergen
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Leopard 2A6s and the ''Video truck''. It is a YA-4442 truck which is modified with video equipement. With it it is possible to record the GPS images, laser data, dynamic lead, ballistic data which the gunner has entered in the system.

After a run these images and data are evaluated by the master gunner of that company and he is evaluating with the gunner(s).

Hi Lesley! Hi Folks!

- L.Delsing
M865 training round

Super group of photos! Special thanks for the views of the Fenneks! As an old Scout I love to see recons vehicles.

Question for you. I notice in this shot and the next one there is a female working with the ammo. Is she part of the tank battalion or a support unit?

Sgt, Scouts Out!

Hello Roy,
She is just new and since three weeks in this companyof the tankbattalion as supply sergeant. The ammo is delivered to the range by a transport unit and she takes care of the paperwork and takes care, in cooperation with the XO, off the distribution of ammo to the tanks during the exercise.

She is assisted by a corporal which is in this company a man. Same company has also a female gunner.

The day after this pictures were taken we had the so-called Bult Francis Cup contest between the two tankbattalions of the NLD army.

This contest was won by a female platooncommander which also had a female gunner. She is the first female platooncommander and the first woman winning the Bult Francis Cup.

regards,
lesley
