Last year they had the Blue Angels. What a great show!

This year the T-Birds. I can't wait!

Great airshow at one of the greatest beaches in the world.

NY Airshow at Jones Beach.

Those guys are great! If you've never seen the T-Birds perform before, you're gonna be surprised! They fly tighter than frogs hair and at speeds that makes your hair stand on end...lol

I will officially be going to the show on Sunday. My older brother and I caught the T-Birds practice on Friday. My Bro (Jeeepster from CFS1 and CFS2) is a professional photographer. He sent me this pic that he got Friday. Ya know Bushy! You may be right! lol They sure fly tighter than frogs hair!

MORE PICS TO COME! My bro will be at the show with me so I'll just let him do the shooting! lol

Great pic and those guys are fantastic pilots! I was lucky enough to meet a couple of them last year at Indy and got MadDog to snap a pic...:D

That wasn't the first time I've seen T-Birds either. While there are a some great teams out there such as SnoBirds and Blue Angels, both great groups in their own right, it just seems to me that the T-birds are a hair tighter and fly at faster speeds. I wouldn't turn down a chance to see any of those groups though...lol

Sure like the shot of that F86. For me it’s the Angels, a few years back I was broke in Seattle. The Blue Angels were doing an air show over the lake but were going to take off several miles away. I made it to the field along with about fifty or so other people, all we expected was to see the take off. ZOOOOOM! off they went but the last guy hugs the deck on take off and then flips that F18 over on its back. Man everybody was cheering and he waggled wings on the climb out. He did that just for us I’m sure. Very cool.

The T birds were awesome sure seemed to fly tighter than the Blue Angels. But last year to me the Blue Angels did a lot more criss crossing diamond busting passes than the Tbirds did!

Both were awesome though!

Here's one I took last year! WooohoooO!

I think a crowd favorite and both T-Birds and BA do this, is to let 4 'birds' come over the crowd low and slow with their gear down. Just as everyone is watching those 4, the fifth 'bird' comes in hot and fast with the afterburners roaring and scares the crap out of everyone...lol

Heres a few pics from the Aces Convention at the Airshow in Dayton Ohio in 2003. If your interest I have pictures from all the Aces conventions at www.rcaf-squadron.org in the photo gallery.

Unfortunetly, I must say that I've only ever been to one airshow. I'm really the only person in my family to have a passion for aviation, so I had to force them to take me Laughing Anyways, I went to a show in Omaha a few years ago. I used volunteer at our local zoo, and one of the people who works in the office (she also goes to our church), her brother was the crew chief of the #5 jet of the BA. because of our connection, we got some VIP seats with in the BA section. Anyways, to the point. I was actually kind of unimpressed with the BA. I mean, I couldn't do have the stuff they did even if I wanted to. But compared to some of the other stuff we had seen earlier in the day, they were downright tame. Some of my favorites at the show was the Oracle plane (anyone else seen that guy? Crazy!!! Bright red Pitts Special.), and probably the lone F-16 and F-15 (since it was at an AFB, they of course had to show off Mr. Green ). They were pulling all sorts of cool maneuvers that the BA would never have done. Did you know that an F-15 can climb 16,000 ft in about 8 seconds? lol. Nothin beats full afterburner over the crowd!

If you look closely at this picture. You'll notice they painted the 5 upsidown so that you can read it when the plane is inverted.
