11 Photo Galleries - NC VFW, American Legion, etc...
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I've only seen two of those myself, thanks for posting, with locations.

I think we discussed the part about there having been an M41 in Freedom Park in Charlotte at one time, but it's apparently a victim of politics and funding, so no longer there.

Hi Doug,

Yes, you are correct, we discussed the missing M41 in Charlotte back in May. She's long gone.

We were hoping to hit all the spots in NC and cover the entire state, but .........

Can't get onto Camp Lejeune - no access without DOD/Military ID. Sad
We visited the Carolina Aviation museum in June but missed the M551 - which I saw you spent some quality time with!
I've seen the Cherokee M60 but no photos (from 2005)
Haven't been to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville.

Can't find ANYTHING to help locate:
Bladenboro M60
Faison M56
Cumberland County M60

Any help would be appreciated!!

When we were photographing the Rockingham M60 we ran into a guy that claims there are a bunch of tanks and APCs on display at Camp Mackall. We'll check it out when we can.
Also, as I mentioned in the registry post, the Hamptonville listing for the M110 is the M110 on display in Yadkinville. Duplicate listing.
