#1: Patton Museum 60th Anniversary display... Author: binder001, Posted: Mon Apr 13, 2009 4:16 pm ---- For our denizens of Ft. Knox/Patton Museum;
IS this still on? I just want to make sure before I burn some favors to get off work so I can attend. I haven't watched a Sherman run for a long time.
Any time frame for the activities that day? Any tentative lists of vehicles that will be running and/or on display?
Thanks guys, I'm getting excited about this.

There will be display areas for World War II, Korea, Vietnam and present day vehicles. As for what specific vehicles, can't officially say yet. Some things planned for display haven't been seen by the public in many years. As soon as I we get the official word, it will be reported here.

VERY well put....
Specifics might spoil the surprize.....
Guess y'all will just have to make plans, it should be an event well worth the trip.
See you in May

#6: Re: Patton Museum 60th Anniversary display... Author: binder001, Posted: Tue Apr 14, 2009 1:38 pm ---- Thanks for the update. I know we will be vulnerable to the weather, but it is my intent to be there with camera(s) in hand. I'm looking forward to this and have put the schedule requests in to my boss.
Do the AFV News guys get free Sherman tank rides?

The Patton Museum 60th Anniversary Celebration commemorative poster is now on sale at the the Patton Museum gift shop. They will do mail orders. Created by yours truly.

I hope that everyone that comes will enjoy the show.

Its why 'we' let you keep coming back......ha ha ha.
Although, I still can't figure out why 'they' keep letting me hang out and actually do some of the stuff I get to do.....
NICE poster! I am in the process of reservations, etc. Looks (so far) like I'm going to get to attend. I presume I can pick up a poster on scene?
Here's hoping for good photographic weather!

Hope to see everyone there, not sure what I'll be doing, but I will be onsite. If nothing else, I'll be at the information booth ( )

I always liked the ones they had there that were portraits of the Generals the tanks were named after, but this poster right here is exactly what filled the need and having General Patton along with the Shermans is even better.
Maybe I can have it enlarged somewhere after it arrives.
