Hi RedSkwirrell,

We wanted to give you a shout and tell you about the new record label 272 Records founded by the creators of Club Fiend, here in Hollywood California. We are going to be releasing our seventeenth compilation record from our Riot On Sunset Series called “Riot On Sunset Vol. 17.” We thought you would be a great addition to the series!

With the success of Club Fiend and working with over 400 great bands including renown artists such as The Start, Beautiful Creatures and Sick Puppies (just to name a few), our attention to detail and hospitality to our acts is unparallel to any other Indie label.

We will be releasing the record to 25 college radio stations here in the USA (including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York City and their surrounding areas). We will send all of the station information to you upon the album release so you and your fans can call and request to hear your song.

We will also be sending you 5 copies of the record, of course, for you to sell, give away or do whatever you may like with!

The record will also be distributed for sale to Amoeba Music (Hollywood’s largest and most popular record store) and Amazon.com. We have also inked a deal with 3 of the hottest Rock Shops on Hollywood Blvd., as well as various stores and tattoo shops on Sunset Blvd. and Melrose Ave. They will be giving away free copies of Riot On Sunset Vol. 17 to their customers as well.

After the album is released, we are also going to make it available for sale, to the artists included on this record. We will provide you with a PayPal “buy now” button that can be placed on your MySpace page. Each band/artist will be given a unique identifying PayPal button so when the record sells off of your page, we will immediately transfer $6.00 USD into a PayPal account of your choosing. It’s a great opportunity to make some extra cash! (Selling the CD’s is totally up to you and NOT something you have to do!)

We really enjoy your music and of course would invite you to pick whichever song you think represents you and your project the best and wanted to see if you would be interested in being on the record.

To help cover the costs of artwork, shipping, mastering and packaging, the cost to be on the record is only $119.00 (U.S. Dollars). We would also need for you to sign some paperwork saying it’s ok to use the song. This is a NON-Exclusive offer, meaning we would absolutely NOT own any copyrights or licensing at all.

That just goes to show you that reading the FULL content to the end is always the way to go...lol

I'll keep my fingers crossed for 'ya Shades that someday a 'full meal deal' will be offered...

Well, on the bright side, they didn't offer to kill, skin and eat you. Most C-C'ers would gladly do that for nuthin' and not even ask you to pay them first! Wink

Well, on the bright side, they didn't offer to kill, skin and eat you. Most C-C'ers would gladly do that for nuthin' and not even ask you to pay them first!

Plus I'll throw in stuffing and mounting your remains in a lifelike pose and sending them back to the missus. They'll prpbably never realize your gone! Twisted Evil

The missus will know he's gone because everything's gone so quiet lately.

Keep trying Rodent, hope you do make it. I'll tell all your cousins here so they can bother you. You'll discover more relatives than you ever imagined then and they'll hopefully pack up and join you at your domicile.

Nice to have some sympathetic backing.... (bastids!).

Lol, thing is I know what I'm doing isn't good enough for that stage yet because that's not why I'm doing it.
Everything I've done has been just to learn how to do it so I can get back to writing music as I used to on guitar before I knackered my hand.
No way would I put money into it, and would probably never believe anyone else wanted to anyway.

Twenty five years ago my band had several offers from various record companies, including the likes of Jet and Island.
I couldn't even take them seriously and did not sell my soul.
And they didn't want me to put my own money up front!
