Hi folks,

will searching the net I came across the site of the Romanian Armed Forces in the Second World War

According this site there where 126 UE licensed build at the Malaxa factory in Bucharest using parts supplied from Renault France
In June 1941 they had 178 carriers in service, the additional vehicles most likely former French army

In 1944 about 17 out of the remaining vehicle's where rebuild to tow the German 50mm PaK

A lot of these vehicle's where captured by the Russian army

As far as I know, they were working on a new museum's building in Dresden. A very ambitious plan:

My understanding is that until they are done only a fraction of the collection will be visible.

Indeed, I was there last summer and only a fraction of the collection was displayed. The new museum should open in 2012.

I am looking forward for that.

My only concern is that, given the same amount of space, modern museums tends to display less artifacts. That's fine for the majority of visitors, because they see more contest, and more support material. For guys like us, that just care about the bare metal, that could be somewhat disappointing.

I've seen that happening at Musée de l'Armée in Paris. Even in Brussels's Museum you can see the difference among the more recent displays and the older halls.

Those pictures looks like two shots of the same vehicles. Are you seeing two different Renaults?
