I do have this book.
It doesn't really do what you ask, as it focuses solely on Soviet Design practices, and covers too many vehicles to be specific to that degree.
For detail differences of T54/55 the best book is probably the Wings & Wheels publication, though that is heavily slanted toward Slovak built tanks.
Concorde also did a nice book by Steve Zaloga, which does a good job of detailing the differences (Actually there are 3 books, 1 on T54/55/62 and 1 on T72 and 1 on T64/T80)
For in depth detail of the Soviet tanks you can do no better than the factory books on T54/55, Tanks of the 60s, which covers T62, IT1 etc, and T72.
