As you can see from the picture below, I've got a special welcome during my last visit Mr. Green

Well... That was for the recruits entering the barracks last monday. There were newbies all over the places.
I am sure Michel will mention the banner was written in german and french, missing italian Crying or Very sad

Back to AFVs, I already covered the StuG III. The T-34/85 was moved into the slot where the Kingtiger used to be, now the T-54 is sitting alone into its corner. The slots that belonged to the FT-17 and Vickers 34 are now empty. Both tanks are covered inside separated threads.

I tried to check some serial numbers, with very mixed results:

- I can confirm M31 s/n is 68

- M47 s/n is 911

- M7 looks like 1(?)427

- M4A4 1???

- M48 s/n is unreadable

If you are looking for more info and shots, feel free to ask or check Trevor's website:

Assuming that the 1st number of the serial is a 1, the M4A4 should be from the batch from SN 16555 to SN 22652.

It can't be from the batch from SN 4805 to 6204, and there was no other batch.

best,

Yes, that's the only number that was readable. I reported it thinking that even alone, it could provide a clue, and indeed we at least have another small piece of the puzzle.

just a little detail :

"Serial Number: 1??? (source: M. Foti)."

there should be 4 question marks and not 3, as the SN is 5 digit numbers (between 16555 and 19999).
