After the LTL-Hs, it's time to report new informations I collected on surviving G-13s. The topic is much more complicated, but thanks to Martin Haudenschild I think I have additional, valuable information.

The info is sorted by swiss r/n, whenever it's available. Tanks with unknow r/n are listed first.
I am not listing all the tanks, just the ones on which I have additional/updated data compared to the current register PDF.
Unless otherwise stated, all the info comes from Martin Haudenschild.

Note, many G-13s in swiss military museums still belong to the Army and are just loaned.

Good question... I have no idea. Do you have any contact in Saumur? Maybe they could dig some additional info.

This could be the one from Jean Weiler, he's from Luxembourg but has a storage fascility in Bitburg.

BTW I know of another G-13, in running condition, close to Karlsrue. They just don't want to go public with the collection.

Hi,

Wow, what a gorgeous location! You won't find a lot of AFVs displayed in such scenic surroundings. I would be hard pressed not to be distracted from the tank...maybe a bikini model on the fender would help us to focus on the vehicle? Cool

Well, Jean Weiler's G-13 apparently had the RN M-78195 before being repainted, so this doesn't seem to be the same one.

I would say that it is the same than this one :

http://www.flickr.com/photos/beamjockey/2932939983/in/set-72157607559463281/

but before getting its camouflage paintjob.
If you look very well to the side skirts, you will see that they have the same hits and are lightly twisted at the same place.

Two weeks ago I was in Burgdorf, for Armeemuseum's first open day. Plenty of people, just a few hours and an amazing collection, but I managed to grab quite a few shots. The G-13s over there were:

- G-13 M-78003
- G-13 M-78022
- G-13 M-78029

Out of the other G-13s reported at Armeemuseum, I guess one could be now in Schaffausen, replacing 78029, but I am just guessing. I hope to check there next month.

I collected a dozen shots of the tanks above, for Pierre-Olivier and anybody who can be interested. It's a 12 Mb download:

I noticed that you don't have the G13 in the collection here at Ft Knox.

It is 'redressed' as a Hetzer, but it is in reality a G13.

It has been a runner for many years & was on display in the Museum. Currently it is in Richardson Motor Pool. It will be transported to Ft Benning with the rest of the Armor Museum collection,.....eventually.

Don
