Well,

I finally completed my Kentucky list of M60's and finished the day at Fort Knox. Sorry I missed you Don,

Olive Hill KY M60A3 SN 1987A, RN JJ044Q, former M60A1 RN 9B6551
Location: 38.291810, -83.186850, Listed by TACOM as SN 2064A. She was a former A 1/12 CAV tank, Bumper Number A-47 from Fort Knox KY used to train AOB students tactics.
ACX 3/12 CAV
Another good indicator of her being in A 1/12 are these securing loops for the stowage box.
Lock bar brackets
A metal rod would be inserted in the loops and locked in place, this was unique to 1/12 CAV and we did the same with the M1's using similar lock bars. Lot of thieves at Knox. This old Girl has been rode hard in her life.

Mount Sterling KY M60A3 SN 2483A, RN JJ04KA
Location: 38.053075,-83.966360

Hanson KY M60A3 SN 2524A, RN JJ04LH
Location: 37.415620, -87.463810

Greenup KY M60A3 SN 2526A, RN JJ04LK
Location: 38.553185, -82.796940

Uniontown KY M60A3 SN 2520A, RN JJ04LD
Location: 37.765660, -87.934780

Fort Knox M60 SN 584, RN 9B3695
Was listed as SN 534
Data Plate confirmed new SN

Fort Knox M60A1 SN 6053, RN 09A12771

Fort Knox M60A3 3621A, RN JJ009C This tank is the most beautifully original M60A3 I've ever seen. Looks like she was never issued out after being built by Anniston. Sticker on fender says she came from G4/DOL Maintenance Division Fort Knox and the Bumper Number is " LOG GP " .

Joe

From thise 'new' photos, I guess you got in RMP okay. From the sun angle, I'll bet it was fairly late.

I wondered what happened to you? As you can tell from my posts, I did keep busy, even tinkered on CK for a bit.

Glad you got in RMP....

Regards
Don

The M60s that I know will stay in the Ft Knox area are the following:

M60A1 - Brandenburg Station Gate
M60A3 - Brandenburg Station Gate
M60A1 - Keyes Park
M60A1 - West Point (?)

There are a few more that I'm unsure of at this time, included is the M60A3 at Sadowski Field House.

Not sure of the SN/RNs right off hand, this is just a quick reference 'list'.

Regards
Don
