Sorry for the delay, I was Commissary shopping today and grab these, I tried to take pictures of any numbers I saw...not sure if they are the SN's or not...the one on the M4 ARV, was on the front hull and rear...so I thought that was a pretty sure bet...not sure on the other two...

the tank is based on an M4A3E8. But I'm sure you have already identified it.

M32A1E8 (“Jan C;” SN 11719, RN 401544847) to be exact and more important to me, I know where it was previously (APG, Edgewood Chemical Biological Center).

Quentin, thanks for those pictures.

Sorry for the delay, I really don't know what kind of pictures you guys are looking for...but here is what I have...I just got my Household Goods so it has been crazy unpacking...like I said though they are going to start moving some of the smaller stuff...so I will keep an eye out...that roundabout is "Ordnance Circle" with the bradley...

Quentin, can you provide a "cross-street" for the Ordnance Circle?

Thanks,

Neil

Morning,

Yes, the actual "circle" or roundabout is called Ordnance Circle on the post map, but the roads coming together at Ordnance Circle are "Aberdeen Ave" and "Redstone Ave" and it is on the New Ordnance Campus...

Also I was on North Post the other day and I noticed they have a couple of new cement pads going in, in front of the OD Recovery Training Facility..."static display" sized pads...just something to watch...might be a good place to look for some Recovery Tracks...in the near future...

Hmmmm...That got me thinking. The M31 & M32 that used to be displayed in front of the Patton Museum, are still currently in RMP, are marked to be shipped to Ft Lee.

I wonder if that is where they may end up....?

Just a thought

Don

That M32 is the same one that was recently refurbished and was briefly on the new Mile of Tanks at APG. I dont suppose they bothered to put up the new plaque they made for it (and other vehicles)?

Also, the XM474 is "new." Unless its the one that was at Fort Sill (which looks to be a little different), its one I wasnt aware of previously.

In regards to the M32 plaque, that whole circle is pretty new...they may be waiting for spring to put the grass down...I will watch for the plaque too...

Quentin,
I hesitate to ask, but one thing I could really use help with is a list of what is currently in storage at Fort Lee - it looks like there have been some additions (such as the M51 TRV) since I last visited, and when I was last at APG there were a few vehicles missing I didnt remember seeing at Railroad Ave.

So here's my latest list:

I know its asking a bit, but is there any chance you could look to see if there's any vehicles there in addition to the above?

Also, longer-term, you might be interested to try to track down the following that Tom Dinackus told me were at Fort Lee some time ago (sometime from the 1970s to 1990s).

US Army Quartermaster Museum, 1201 22nd St (Building 5218)
M3 Scout Car USA std?

US Army Quartermaster Center & School, Petroleum & Water Department, 40th St & G Ave
M56 Scorpion USA std?

Many thanks as always!

Neil
