I thought the M113A3 had the external fuel tanks and holes for mounting add-on armor. They have an "M113A3" at the egineer museum that has neither. Is the museum wrong or was the external fuel tanks part of the RISE package?

Hi,

From my memory, one of the key parts of the A3 upgrade was moving the fuel cell outside of the crew compartment (along with a spall liner, different driver's controls, and a handful of other less visible changes...powertrain, etc.)

Unless the rear fuel tanks have been removed, this is more likely an A2.

Imagine that, a museum being wrong? It's an A2.
