Still kinda under-armed with just one, can't he carry two? Or is there an equally well-equipped matching sidearm?

Yeah...the sidearm had the IR/thermal imaging systems. All the visible light stuff is on his Johny Seven O.M.A.Ã¢â€žÂ¢ (Made by Topper!)

...yep...they carried these on "Prairie Fire" missions in Laos....
