store.steampowered.com/app/307960 Was looking at this on steam today the trailer looks great (of course) Anybody tried it? the reviews were mostly positive. On a different note ,now that it is that time of year and I am now retired , I updated "Rise of flight" and now it wont load ! so I took a crack at IL2 Strumovik ,Had some fun fighting against the puter but could not join multi player , seems I need to install the latest patch ,I read all about the patch on steam but there is no place to download it ,I thought that Steam automatically updated things Oh well I'll keep messing with it till I get it right

Thanks for the heads up on "Rise of Flight". Love the game and just starting to get into it.
Waiting to pick up a Track IR5.
Good reviews on BOS in youtube Dan, looking to get it after video card update.

The IL-2 patches can be found here at Com-Central.
IL-2 Sturmovik 1946-INT: www.com-central.net/in...&c=121

Boot up the sim and see what version you are running. v4.12.2m is the most current patch version. Then use this patching guide to get the patches you need to get up to date.
IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Patching Guide Version 4.07m to 4.12.2m: www.com-central.net/in...d=20#Link1

If you used the default installation location the file path will probably be this one.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il 2 sturmovik 1946\

Moving it out of that location will save you a lot of problems.
Steam version il2 1946 cannot connect to online: hyperfighter.sk/ftopic...html#16167

You may want to read a little more about IL-2 BoS before making the final purchasing decision. Depending on what you are expecting it might not be all that you hope.

Those clips were good ,thanks Hammer ! I created some confusion I have 1946 but it is COD that I am trying to update, when I am at the steam site there is a big page telling al about the patch but no place to download it !the latest version it says is 4.312 so I'm going to give it another go right after Missouri knocks off the Tide. Well the ball game sucked so I went to the team fusion site and found all the up dates I got the first two installed which brought me to 3.01 Razz But the next mod 4.0 (2.09 gigs !) was a different kind of file ,a RAR file and I had to download winzip to try to deal with it ,well winzip didn't know where to put it and neither did I , so after considerable effort I gave up and played the game , it already has a different look and feel and the reworked guns on the Spit have a great feel and sound ! Made some progress and tomorrow is another day Smile

Check this site out Dan...they have their own IL-2 COD server with a lot of players on.

theairtacticalassaultg.../index.php

forums

theairtacticalassaultg...com/forum/

the people there are very helpful, when you join the forums, they have a chat window at the top where you can ask questions to other members to resolve problems.

I still use my handle there, B.Hammer

when I get my COD running..maybe I will see you there.

The mods are a real improvment and they make it a lot easier for my computer to handle , the tactical groups server has a low ping and I have seen 88 players in one game! (I love a big furball! ) Going to get my mic set up now so I can join the guys on Team speak. It's becoming pretty clear that in a dogfight with a good pilot you really need a track IR or you should write a letter and leave it on your bunk before a mission. How are you making out Hammer? do you think that you will make it into a game in the next while?
