Had a chance to photograph the M4A1(76) HVSS on display in Indianapolis, IN at VFW Post 7119. While the escape hatch was dislodged, I declined the opportunity to crawl underneath and attempt entry as the cold, rain, mud and thoughts of getting stuck all combined to urge caution. Yes, I know P-O would have crawled in, but he wasn’t along! We looked at the spots on the rear sides to get numbers but nothing was clear enough to photograph. I did see a faint impression that looked like 1180 but none of the images came out and I’m not at all sure.
Anyway - enjoy what there is!
Also on display is a pretty banged-up North American F-86 Sabre - for us Wingy-Thing fans.
