This tank was captured in Lebanon in 1982. Then it was passed over to the Soviets who kept it in Kubinka. It was returned to Israel not that long ago:

Any idea why the Russians returned the M48 above? Was it part of an exchange? It seems a bit of an unusual thing to do!

On another website it was suggested to be "soldier's respect". Apparently there dead Israeli tankers inside when it was captured.
