Can anyone get any tight shots of Ft. Irwin, CA (25 mi NNW of Barstow)? I only have Whirlwind at the moment. Look for outdoor displays of armored vehicles by themselves out in the open near buildings....

Hows about foreign locations? Airport at Hue, Vietnam (Phu Bai, 6km SSE of Hue) would mega-cool...

Thanks!

Hey Ascout

I found an airfield in North Korea and another in Viet Nam that I was thinking about showing you. I have to go back and find them now.

What I thought was really cool was they had all these planes very obviously tucked into bunkers. But they looked like camoflaged Cessna 171's.

Will have to go refind the locations and post for you to check out!

Kim Jung Il says: "I'm so wone-wy...so vewwy wone-wy....."

You won't find many (if any, unless lucky) aircraft at Hue-PhuBai...only a commercial flight if one happens to be there. Go just west of the ridgeline off the airport West side and take a few too.

Now, Ton Son Nhut will have many aircraft hardened shelters (guess who built 'em...) and a few aircraft, but mostly helicopters.

Any camo'ed straight-wing military small attack aircraft will likely be A-37's captured from the VNAF...might be some F-5's also, but unlikely.

Around Ha Noi there should be Mig-21's and such..and maybe at Bien Hoa.

Here's the shelters at Ton Son Nhut:

I thought this was sort of interesting. A test strip on a runway for Phot planes.

Nice pic Dak! That is pretty cool!

Did you find the spot where you buzz them RC planes around?

Here is the Cedar Creek Park Aerodrome in Wantagh, NY....local hot spot for RC hot shots!
