#1: Are you bummed out that your extensions dont work in FF 1.5? Author: RCAF_MadDog, Posted: Sat Dec 10, 2005 11:34 pm ---- I have fixed (not updated) all of my non working (incompatible) extensions and they are all now working in Firefox 1.5
It has came to my attention that you may not have the option to open archves when you right click. The program 7zip is how I have that option so I will work on another work around for it. The 7Zip file is here and it is a very handy utility that will enable you to do the following.
I will try to explain how easy it was
Below name.xpi = whatever extension your editing
1. download the name.xpi file to your hard drive
2. right click on it an pick "Open Archive"
3. look for a line that says <em:minVersion>0.7</em:minVersion> <em:maxVersion>1.0</em:maxVersion>
4. Change the 1.0 to 1.6
5. Save the file then answer YES to change archive.
6. Close it all then install the name.xpi file.
I cant take credit for this I found it on the net while trying to get updates.
But it worked for all of mine.
