Here is the "next one" you asked for. I looked for a harder one to ID. Even my dad didn't know this one till we researched it.

Author: RCAF_Wingnut, Location: Omaha, Ne.Posted: Thu Feb 23, 2006 2:07 pm ---- Actually it looks more like a B-29 with a modified nose section, the engine nacelles are the same. The nose section is different though. I did some looking, and found that it is a Consolidated-Vultee 33 XB-32 Dominator. It was one of the prototypes that were in competition for new heavy bomber. The competition was won by the B-29.

#8: Re: This is for XcalibeR to ID..... Author: RCAF_Wingnut, Location: Omaha, Ne.Posted: Thu Feb 23, 2006 7:36 pm ---- Rgr that. The Privateer is essentially a B-24 with a single tail instead of a dual tail. It was primarily used by the Coast Guard/Navy for coastal patrols.

OK, time for "Dad" to post on my sons thread. I'd never heard of a B32. Here are a few pictures I found, two are experimental. Below is what I cut and paste from the B32 information site.
The B-32 was designed to compete with the B-29. After the latter was selected by the USAAF, the B-32 was completed as a less sophisticated alternative to the B-29. Cabin pressurisation and remote-controlled turrets were abandoned. Neverthless, it was ready later than the B-29, and only 15 entered combat service. It was a dissapointing aircraft. Note: The XB-32 was initially known as "Terminator" while the B-32 was the "Dominator".
