any marines out there? have you seen this vehicle?
has anyone out there seen and heard of the RG-31 cougar hardened engineer vehicle (HEV)? it has been issued to the USMC, USA variants to follow. i recently read an article on one, they have sent fourteen of them over to iraq (for EOD) as of the date of publication.
it is not, as of yet, a combat tactical vehicle. its design goes back to the rhodesians many years ago. it is 4 wheeled, it has a "v" shaped bottom for better blast protection from IEDs. it was just a short but informative article, wondering if anyone else has more info on the vehicle.
there are pics of the cougar out there...

It was one of the vehicles demo'd at Knox last month. Go to the Knox homepage at www.knox.army.mil and click on the Tradoc Force protection initiative link at the bottom center of the page for a short video.
