Its South of CP 9 on the Vehicle convoy lane on South post....
The sandy area is known as the vehicle recovery area. I got those photos somewhere around here...oh...found them

The sandy area that has a couple of stripped out ITV's, M114s, and an M551 is not in an impact area. The vehicles show no signs of being hit by any live fire.
Russ, the photo angle was purely a coincidence. I took it as I walked into the static display area, from the parking lot.
