I'm looking for a good, EASY to INSTALL aircraft carrier package...I've tried a couple but they look like crap and one of them I can't figure out how to install, the files are a mess...anyone have any recommendations?

We had some aircraft carriers when we did the Doolittle flight, I'll zip them up for you when I find them...:)

*edit*

Hmm, just one carrier...(Two years ago, I have a hard time remembering stuff Smile )

CV8 Hornet here

You'll have to give Sly a nudge to find the co-ordinates...I just don't seem to remember...Out at sea somewhere...

Also, there is the HMNZW "Waikato" with lots of eye candy, a landable frigate alongside, a Greenpeace ship you can harass, and a heck of a 'show' between 1800-2300. Be sure to turn effects on for steam, blast barriers, and beaucoup AI traffic both fixed and rotory wing.

Thanks, I'll check them out as well..I downloaded one package that had 8 carriers all over the world. It works but for some reason they all are white blocks..you don't see any detail at all..very strange

Hi Hangy

Did you find CV8 Hornet?

Its in the middle of the pacific lol about 800 miles off japan Wink

If I can remember how to do it I could relocate it anywhere you want

Also have good range of Cruisers, BB, and Destroyers somewhere to assemble your task force..

There are no working wires on CV8.... on finals press period and Control keys to apply parking brake ..... it then stops pretty darn quick lol

Good for WWII warbirds but your F4 or F14 arrives a bit fast Wink

PM or post here if you need owt

Sea Hurricane

There is a World War 2 British Aircraft Carrier included and it certainly looks very stunning. As for the interaction between the aircraft and carrier I only tried a few landings and take offs, so I could not give an intelligent view as I had my hands full trying to fly the Hurricane, as I do not usually fly this type of aircraft. You can ditch the external fuel tanks by reduceing the fuel quanity in them to zero. The Sea Hurricane aircraft is a very nice sim, so it is worth getting for that alone.

FS2004 Hawker Sea Hurricane. Models made with FSDS2. These aircraft represent two period aircraft from the WW2 era, and one modern restoration. They feature highly detailed virtual cockpits with full military equipment, a working oxygen system with hypoxia effect, working automatic boost control, working two-speed supercharger for the Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine, engine failure modeling, Mk.II reflector gun sight with animated sun screen, drop tanks with authentic fuel management and fully modeled parasite drag effects, animated tailhook with realistic functioning, and fully functional and clickable VC cockpit controls via custom XML gauges. The exterior visual models have dynamic shine, reflective textures, animated canopy, reflective glass, animated radiator flap with drag and pitch effects, animated gear retraction and extension, animated flight control surfaces, fully animated oleo-pneumatic suspension, castoring tail wheel, animated boarding step, handholds and pilot's oxygen mask and contrail effects. They have accurate flight dynamics that vary between aircraft and include realistic stalls and spins. This package also includes as scenery a landable aircraft carrier with funnel smoke, wake effects, animated gun turrets and pilot controlled lights via the Nav 1 frequency. By Robert Sanderson.
