Sad I Guffed, I admit.
After installing FSGLOBAL 2008 into my computer and getting terrible stuttering I decided to uninstall to try to make a new setting for a new installation. I tried this once while FSGLOBAL was installed and it flattened all my scenery, or no scenery at all. Cofident there was a copy of the original scenery cfg somewhere After I tested I decided to install again Neutral
Only to find to my surprise that I get a message everytime I start FSX in the welcome screen:

Scenery cfg error.local scenery directory (addon scenery\scenery) in scenery area 115 ( which is default scenery, in the scenery library) Not found, click ok to continue. I can open the scenery cfg file and see that in there scenery area 115, the last one. is in there.

What can I do to get rid of this message Crying or Very sad

you can edit the scenery.cfg manually, open it with Notepad ONLY !!!!!!

for example :

[Area.xxx]
Title=Default Scenery
Local=Scenery\BASE
Layer=2
Active=TRUE <= this needs to be stating TRUE or FALSE, TRUE means activated
Required=TRUE <= this means it is a required scenery, FALSE is used for addon sceneries

Good Luck

Hi Harry: Thanks I fixed it... I Googled and found some answers,
First I found: delete scenery area 115 with notepad and save. (didn't work)
Then found delete scenery cfg and FSX will create a new one upon start and didn't help either, why I didn't restart comp.
Upon restarting comp. and FSX It still came up with the error message. I then found a scenery cfg ( with out area 115) and c/p to the FSX folder and it worked

This message seems to appear whenever you change something with your scenery files "by hand". I had an add-on scenery placed and named it wrongly. Found the error, fixed it and had the same error message (area 115). I changed the name back to the wrong spelling and the message never came back. The same happens when you move a folder to another place. Returning it to the previous position again eliminates the error-message.

Well I reinstalled again last night, and I must say now I'm satisfied.

Cleaned my system before install and got more mem. out of it. How? well I got an external HD for christmas 320 GB Cool and could relieve my system and gain some ressourses. So I had 102 GB Free Space before installation of FSGLOBAL X 2008 and 87,7 GB after. Have a bit of stuttering but eventually balances and get 20/20 FPS as tuned in my FSX .cfg.

This also depends in what king of addon one is flying.

...Now to get rid of the error message I found out that by going to the scenery library and in there delete addon scenery the message doesn't appear anymore; At least this is my case: I am running Vista 32; It is different with other OS's Since FS GLOBAL Places the save cfg differently In XP than in Vista.
