#1: Review of Modelling Show “ Go Modelling in Vienna Author: robertkru, Posted: Mon Feb 25, 2008 1:53 pm ---- Hi to all
Last weekend there was the “Go Modelling exhibition from IPMS Austria in Heeresgeschichtliche Museum ( Museum of military History) in Vienna.
I can tell you this kind of place is one of the best locations for such an event!
Also because of winter the outdoor area with tanks was closed, (I guess they will open them for the next show) there was enough to see in the different halls and the models were nicely placed: The ships in the “Seaforce Austria section, a special exhibition for WW1 staffs between original guns, a 1/72 scratchbuilt Flak tower in front of remains from a 12,8cmm AA gun …..
Star of the exhibition was a non-military item: A Titanic in 1/100, built from brass and copper
When you have the chance to come to Vienna you should visit the Museum and the exhibition.
Pics from the event you can find at e.g.: www.panzermodellbau.co...g08.html&1 www.rlm.at/cont/gal994.htm www.boatmodelling.com/...7/lang,en/
The homepage of the Museum is www.hgm.or.at/eng/
Take a look e.g at tour/ virtual tour
Regards from Vienna/ Austria
Robert
