M4(75) "Hurricane" SN 25437
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I've found some interesting B&W pictures of an M4 Sherman with painted RN 3033967. This seems to be an M4 built by ALCO, with SN 25437 :

On this picture, one can see the Radial Continental R-975 being replaced with another one :

These are well known pictures and have been in dozens of books and articles on the Sherman.

I don't know how 'well known' is defined but I don't remember seeing the one of Hurricane coming ashore from the LST before. Is there any information about when or where the pictures were taken?

P-O, how do you know this tank was made by ALCO? Are you working back from the registration to a known serial number block?

Trevor, we know that "Cookie" is an M4 with SN 24871 and original RN 3033401. Then I calculated the SN of "Hurricane" from the RN that we can see on period photos, 3033967.
