USA (NOW V3.0!), Canada, France and Belgium AFV Registers
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

There comes a time you need to draw a line and say anything found after this date goes in the NEXT edition after this one.

And congratulations on the engagement.

I'm still on it, keep finding new things I need to update.

For example, just googling for "guard armory" in a given state is pulling up new finds I didnt have before.

Plus I didnt realize until today you could turn _around_ the bing aerial view camera...

I'd love to say by end of June, but its probably July now...

Oh yeah, and one minor life-changing detail - I got engaged on Friday! So life gets in the way of course Wink

What about you, Neil?

To be honest, he has to cover a lot more ground than we do. As for me, Belgium is a lot smaler than most of the states in the US Wink ,
and even I didn't find time to visit all of the armour here. Sad .

It's my intention to release one update every year.

The old Belgian register was more than a year old, so it was time to get a second revision online.
It's now available at www.afvregister.org/Download.aspx

Rolling Eyes well I also updated the France AFVs register today :

http://the.shadock.free.fr/France_AFVs.pdf

It was nearly 1 month old... lol

What about you, Neil?

Neil,
The MVTF received 2 AIFV's from BAE Systems late last month. I'll be posting the photos on my site tomorrow:

They also received the hull of the FCS Lancer/Tracer Scout vehicle. I'll post those pictures tomorrow.

Chris, just saw this - looking forward to the Lancer TRACER Scout photos!

The Mopertingen M4A4 Sherman
Located at grid N 50 51.565 E 005 34.483. When you enter Rademakerstraat 3A in your TOM TOM (or another navsystem), this is a house close by the Sherman.

Visited today the AFVs at the fortress of Eben Emael and the Sherman in Mopertingen

The correct postal adress for the fortress at Eben Emael is 40 Rue de Fort (checked the number on the postbox at the fortress entrance) although my TOM TOM nav system didn't have the number ''40'' for this street.

The r/n are 52767 and 52868, but which one is which?

This one is at N50 47.800 E005 40.408.

Do not know the exact purpose of the wire in front of the lights and vision blocks, I have seen it on Leopard 1s at Vogelsang which were used for anti-tank training by the infantry.

The second one, located at grid N50 47.796 E005 40.449 (near the fortress entrance)

And an AMX-13 at grid N50 47.824 E005 40.442

The serial?
